Jill Redford ARAD, FISTD, PGCA - Dance Teacher, Choreographer, Adjudicator & Examiner
Jill holds the Cert Ed (Post Compulsory) Certificate in Dance Education.
Jill trained at Bird College and after performing in theatre cabaret and tv at home and abroad, began a teaching and choreographing career. Jill now examines for the ISTD and adjudicates for the British Federation of Festivals.

Deborah Lamb FISTD - Principal
Deborah is a Modern & Tap Theatre Faculties Examiner for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
She trained with Karen King, Tereza Theodoulou and Heather Rees.
Deborah teaches ISTD Modern Theatre & Tap, grades & majors and the Jazz & Tap Awards.
She holds the RAD Teaching Cert and teaches ballet grades, higher grades & majors.
Deborah has taught children and students in Surrey and Sussex for over 20 years.
She holds the Certificate in Dance Education.
Vikki Bathurst CDE - Dance Teacher
Vikki attended the Centre of Performing Arts College in London for 3 years studying musical theatre, ballet, tap, and modern dancing under the tuition of Karen King.
After graduating with her teaching qualifications she had a lead role as a dancer with a local touring opera company, danced in a pop video and appeared as a dancer in a Mike Leigh film. She currently teaches Modern Theatre, Jazz, Ballet & Tap.
Shirley Stanwell - Drama Teacher
Shirley trained as a dancer and actor at ArtsEd and has appeared in many productions in the professional theatre throughout the UK, the West End of London and in the Far East.
Her TV appearances include The Bill, Children In Uniform and The Gnomes Of Dulwich. Her film career includes roles in Carry On Girls and Julia. More recently she has directed, acted and done administration with Brighton Actors' Theatre.
Following a degree course at the University of Surrey she taught at Roedean, Stonelands and Newlands Schools, as well as teaching English & Drama in Secondary Schools. She is a member of the Drop Dead Theatre Company who present Murder/Mystery evenings to order. Her list of qualifications includes a BA Hons in English & Drama, PGCE, LLAM, LRAM Speech & Drama, LRAM Mime and AISTD.

James Anderson DRSAM Tenor and Singing Teacher
James is teaching students at his home in Buxted where he has a baby grand piano! He joined Glyndebourne Festival & Touring Opera and sang principal roles in numerous productions. Throughout his career he has sung many of the repertory roles of Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, with most of the major British opera companies. He made his principal debut at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden in 1990 in ’Arabella’ alongside Dame Kiri Te Kanawa & has sung extensively with many international companies, travelling to San Francisco, Africa, Europe & the Far East. As well as adjudicating at singing competitions at the Royal College of Music in London James was invited to be an external examiner at the Music Faculty of the University of Kristiansand In Norway in June 2008.
Many of his students appear regularly in principal roles in local musical productions, and one has recently won a coveted place at the Royal Music Academy in London. Students have taken examinations for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and achieved marks of merit and distinction up to Grade 8.

Elaine Mansfield FISTD - Dance Teacher
Elaine trained at and graduated from Elmhurst Ballet School. She danced professionally for many years before embarking on her teaching career, where she is quickly moving into vocational level training, specialising in Jazz technique. In 2006 she returned to full time training for a year to study contemporary dance at The Place.
Elaine became a Modern and Tap Examiner for the ISTD in 2004 and is currently on the Advanced 2 Modern teaching team. She is delighted to part of the team creating new work for the Jazz Awards.
Louise Outram LISTD, RAD DIP - Dance Teacher
Louise graduated from London College of Dance in 1991 with her Diploma in Dance Studies and Teacher Training. She has since gained her Licentiate in the Modern Theatre and Tap Dance branches of the ISTD, and has Registered Teacher Status (RTS) with the Royal Academy of Dance and her RAD Teaching Diploma. Her teaching career has taken her around the world, teaching and choreographing students of all ages. Firstly Cyprus, then Singapore, UK and finally Australia. After 20 years she is now back home permanently and happy to be part of the team at The Deborah Lamb Theatre School.

Alison Barnard FISTD - Dance Teacher
Alison started her dance training in her home town of Eastbourne and attended the Doreen Bird College. On leaving Alison continued and developed her teaching qualifications with the I.S.T.D and is a qualified teacher in Ballet, Modern and Tap. Alison recently achieved the Fellowship teaching status in Imperial Ballet and is delighted to be joining Deborah as part of her teaching team!
